The hosts were incredibly accommodating - offering us lifts and reassuring us during a tsunami alert. The house itself had every amenity and incredibly comfy beds, which were greatly appreciated after staying in hostels. The location was also a key advantage, with a short walk to the beach and proximity to attractions like Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.
From the pictures and description, we thought we were getting a whole house, but it turned out to be an attached apartment. The views were of the backyard and the outdoor area was shared and visible from the owner's lounge.
